The Construction Worker

It was the hottest day of the year so far. and I thought I was nuts for being out there painting in the heat. And as I set up my canvas to paint the empty street, I heard someone whistling what sounded like "I Love New York In June". I turned to see a construction worker dressed in jeans, boots, hardhart and, most surprisingly, a long sleeved shirt carrying his tools on his shoulder. Next time I want to complain about the heat in my apartment and my ineffective air conditioner I'll think of this guy and whistle. Zoe at the Gap

My little black labrador retriever Zoe loves the water. It's great to watch her jump for joy the closer we get to water, any water. Exept the bathtub - go figure. Here she is at the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey. Washington Square at Sunset

I made a quick sketch, went home, and this painting was the result. 16" x 20" Oil on Masonite Panel. For information on purchasing this painting, please contact me at fhodelin@gmail.com.
