The Construction Worker

It was the hottest day of the year so far. and I thought I was nuts for being out there painting in the heat. And as I set up my canvas to paint the empty street, I heard someone whistling what sounded like "I Love New York In June". I turned to see a construction worker dressed in jeans, boots, hardhart and, most surprisingly, a long sleeved shirt carrying his tools on his shoulder. Next time I want to complain about the heat in my apartment and my ineffective air conditioner I'll think of this guy and whistle.
